Greetings,

Updated July 2013.

The Alabama Emergency Net is every Sunday at 2100Z. You can check into this
net a variety of ways.

Digital Mode Net:
1. At 2030Z, you can check in on Digital Mode Net using RTTY or PSK-31 on 7100khz,
APRS, DRats, and WINLINK2000. This net starts at 2030Z and ends after there are
no more check-ins. Beginning October 1st, 2012, we will just use PSK-31 and WINLINK2000.

We highly recommend that you use FLDigi, a free program for these various modes.
I also recommend FLRig which can control your rig via the CAT (Computer aided Tuning)
Port. Digipan is also an exellent free program dedicated to PSK-31.

2. Using APRS by sending a message to WX4AL-1. UI-View32 is a good free program to use.

3. Using D-RATS by sending a message to WX4AL. D-Rats Software is free to download.
I keep both APRS and D-RATS programs are open during the digital and phone nets.
When you set up your DRATS software, use drats.auburn.edu as your DRats Server.

4. WINLINK2000: You can send me a WINLINK message to: WX4AL "at" winlink "dot" org.
I will receive them via an RF Mail Box Station.

Phone Net:
5. The phone net on 7243khz at 2100Z.

Each method you choose counts as a check in.

Respectfully,
Mike

Is the net still weekly? I had heard that it went to the first Sunday of the month.

Thanks,
